比推消息，据 Decrypt 报道，上周，德克萨斯州警方使用电动工具从 Bitcoin Depot 的比特币 ATM 机取回了 3.2 万美元。比特币 ATM 机运营商 Bitcoin Depot 首席法律官 Chris Ryan 表示，美国执法人员使用暴力手段从比特币 ATM 机上取回现金是越权行为，可能违反了法律。其首席运营官 Scott Buchanan 称，由于执法人员切开了自助服务终端的“实体”，该机器必须完全更换。
美国联邦调查局 (FBI) 的一份报告发现，2024 年，美国人通过加密货币自助服务终端损失了至少 2.47 亿美元，比 2023 年增长了 31%。
此前消息，美国德州贾斯珀县警长于当地时间动用切割工具强行拆解一台比特币 ATM 机，试图追回当地居民被诈骗的 2.5 万美元。
