在以太坊核心开发者会议中，核心开发者Tim Beiko的建议将2022年9月19日星期一作为可能的“The Merge 合并”日期，以太坊有望在9月中旬，在以太坊区块链从使用工作量证明（PoW）转为使用权益证明（PoS）上实现新的进展。7月18日，受UST事件影响的三箭资本召开了债权人会议，此次会议将由三箭资本清算人Teneo主持，进一步推动清算工作。与三箭资本同样处境的CeFi巨头Celsius，此前因面临流动性枯竭宣布停止提币，而其在北京时间7月19日举行了关于其申请破产的首次法庭听证会，Celsius重申了其寻求美国破产法第11章保护的诉求，以启动旨在实现价值最大化的程序。政策上，北京时间7月28日凌晨2点，美联储公布7月FOMC会议决议，美联储如期加息75bp至2.25％-2.5％，认为经济距离衰退尚有距离，但衰退风险明显提高，并首次提及放慢加息的可能性，整体基调偏鸽。另外，美国财政部长Janet Yellen将主持召开金融稳定监督委员会会议，会议议程包括为响应关于拜登的数字资产行政命令而准备的报告，以及该委员会对冲基金工作组的最新情况等。
