比推消息， Vitalik Buterin 表示，当前 ZK-EVM 已进入 alpha 阶段，具备生产级性能，剩余主要工作集中在安全性；与此同时，PeerDAS 已正式在以太坊主网上线。Vitalik 指出，这并非渐进式优化，而是正在将以太坊转变为一种同时具备去中心化、共识机制与高带宽的新型 P2P 网络形态。
他回顾称，BitTorrent 具备高带宽但无共识，比特币具备共识但因全量复制导致带宽受限；而以太坊在引入 PeerDAS（数据可用性采样）与 ZK-EVM 后，有望同时实现去中心化、共识与高吞吐，三难困境已通过“主网上运行的真实代码”被解决。其中，PeerDAS 已在主网运行，ZK-EVM 在性能层面已达到生产级。
Vitalik 预计，2026 年起，随着 BAL、ePBS 等机制推进，Gas 上限将逐步提高，并出现运行 ZK-EVM 节点的实际机会；2026–2028 年将进行 Gas 重新定价、状态结构调整及执行负载进入 blob；到 2027–2030 年，ZK-EVM 有望成为网络验证区块的主要方式，进一步推动 Gas 上限提升。
此外，他还提到分布式区块构建的重要性，长期目标是避免区块在任何单一地点被完整构建，并通过协议内或协议外方式分散区块构建权力，以降低中心化干预风险并提升地域公平性。
