鲍威尔主席在杰克逊霍尔会议上发表主题演讲的前一天，美国联邦储备委员会的人就已经开始发言了。
圣路易斯联邦储备银行总裁詹姆斯布拉德表示：市场没有正确定价通胀以及利率将在未来很长一段时间内保持高位。
他在怀俄明州杰克逊霍尔举行的美联储年度经济研讨会上接受 CNBC采访时表示：通胀可能比华尔街许多人的预期更加持久 。他的评论表明，目前的定价显示美联储将在 2023 年初结束加息，并可能在当年年底降息，这将被证明是乐观的。
比预期更长时间的紧缩货币政策可能意味着，包括加密货币在内的市场重新出现避险情绪。
就目前来说，比特币（BTC）和其他加密资产在过去几周与股市一起反弹，或许美联储开始放缓甚至结束其激进的加息序列。
布拉德还表示，他更喜欢“提前”加息，并且表明美联储正在认真对待通胀。他对年末联邦基金利率为 3.75%-4%（目前为 2.25%-2.5%）的预期比短期利率市场预期的高出约 25-50 个基点。
至于央行官员计划在 9 月的下一次联邦公开市场委员会 (FOMC) 会议上具体做什么的暗示，布拉德和周四在杰克逊霍尔发表讲话的其他美联储主席都没有提供很多答案。
费城联储主席帕特里克哈克告诉 CNBC，收紧 50 或 75 个基点的决定取决于 9 月 13 日的下一个通胀数据。
“我认为我们必须认识到，50 个基点的变动仍然是一个重大举措，因此是 50 还是 75 我现在不能说，但我们不要认为 50 不是一个重大举措”Harker 说。
虽然哈克希望看到联邦基金利率达到 3.5% 左右后暂停并重新评估，但堪萨斯城联储主席埃斯特乔治告诉彭博社，她认为基准利率可能升至 4% 以上。
主要事件发生在周五上午，届时美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔将发表主题演讲。鉴于在讲话前美联储喋喋不休的鹰派倾向，鲍威尔似乎更有可能在周五借此机会重申他大幅降低通胀率的意图。
