去年2月5日晚上9点50分，眉山东坡区公安分局三苏派出所接110转警称：三苏村村民张仕伦家有11人晚餐时食物中毒。民警紧急赶赴现场，同时将情况向上级公安机关汇报。眉山市公安局局长马宏等连夜开展救护和调查工作。据警方通报，该案共造成11人中毒，住院治疗，22岁的吴介波因中毒较深，抢救无效死亡。
: p2 H! f! P, T+ ]) _" h. ? 案发后，眉山市、区公安机关刑事技术人员提取了现场有关重要物证，经市、省物证鉴定技术人员和专家先后鉴定，确定中毒原因系晚餐食物中含有毒鼠强。警方初步断定，这是一起人为投毒案。时至2月22日，经省、市物证鉴定中心检验，同村村民唐维忠的生活用品中检出了毒鼠强。当日22时许，警方在唐家中将其抓获。

经查：唐维忠于2009年起，因迷恋于“炸金花”等DB活动，欠下1万余元外债。案发前，唐某在伏龙乡赶集时，在一游商处购买了老鼠药(毒鼠强)。
4 L+ x4 z# j& i w6 [2 B 2010年2月4日，唐某得知邻居张仕伦家2月5日要销售水果，应有大量现金，遂产生了用药毒倒张仕伦家人，伺机盗窃钱财的念头。# y: M% h5 S& s- ?
2月5日一早，张家销售水果时，唐便主动前去帮忙搬运。午餐后旁观打牌，后以1元钱纸币破损为由，进入厨房踩点。
D' Y, a( D1 W3 Q Q! c 其后，唐某趁无人注意之机，溜进张家厨房，将事先预备好的老鼠药(毒鼠强)全部投入午餐后的剩饭中。投毒后，唐某在现场附近窥视，期待状况出现。
) w. W. O% i( k+ c: f* w& t 晚上7点40分许，张家人陆续出现中毒现象，唐某本想趁乱到张家窃取财物，但后来多名中毒者被送往医院抢救，公安机关及时到场处置而无机可趁。- [% v, x" `- D; T, M' f

法院审理后认为，唐维忠为劫取他人钱财而针对不特定人投放毒性物质，危害公共安全，致1人死亡、3人轻伤和7人轻微伤，其行为触犯刑律，构成投放危险物质罪。被告人唐维忠犯罪情节恶劣、后果严重。遂根据被告人唐维忠犯罪的事实、性质、情节和社会危害后果，依法判处死刑，剥夺ZZ权利终身。
