港病态赌徒求助激增 料世界杯间辅导组织不敷使用

[i] [/i]香港大公报报道，香港赌徒人数不断上升，有向病态赌徒提供辅导的香港明爱展晴中心预期，世界杯将至，求助个案将随之急升，担心资源不足，未能增聘人手应付将会增加的庞大需求。
5 V' X/ F4 M5 ^6 x$ L% G 赛马会作为香港唯一合法的博彩机构，每年除应缴税款外，并向特区ZF额外拨捐1500万元注入“平和基金”，现时资助4个非牟利团体包括明爱展晴中心，跟进问题DB人士。* T' a7 O+ `# H& K
明爱展晴中心督导主任邓耀祖表示，根据民政事务局邀请香港理工大学于2008年作出“邻近地区博彩业迅速扩张下，香港人参与DB活动最新形貌与防治问题DB服务发展”的评估研究报告中显示，香港赌徒在正不断上升，他认为“平和基金”不足以应付市场所需。
9 I# i+ m, D6 |& k0 o+ q. j “我们现时只有八名辅导员，为求助者进行一系列戒赌治疗及跟进服务，其实并不足够，即使世界杯将至，我们亦未能增聘人手应付需求。”邓耀祖表示，每逢有国际足球盛事，例如上届○六年世界杯，均是问题赌徒求助高峰期，他担心今年世界杯期间，会出现人手不胜负荷情况。
* }+ Z4 w! I# J, L! }7 a 邓耀祖说，自2003年成立戒赌热线以来，三千个求助个案中，超过五成求助者在20岁前已开始DB，反映DB问题在学生身上已出现。“我们计划向ZF再申请『平和基金』，在世界杯期间，到全港二百间中小学举行讲座，透过小组活动让学生及早明白DB祸害”。另外，亦会教导家长及教师如何分辨学生是否有DB迹象，及早提供辅导。+ Z! \1 }( |8 O1 f) m6 F# |
明爱、东华三院、锡安社会服务处、香港路德会社会服务处分别营办四间问题和病态赌徒辅导及治疗中心，为赌徒和家人提供专门辅导及治疗服务。邓耀祖说，四间辅导中心已达成共识，计划在港铁沿线张贴戒赌广告，透过在大众接触面较广的地方宣传，令问题赌徒及早发现自身问题。 |
