1.合并后，在采矿设备上投资数十亿美元的矿工将发现他们的整个商业模式已经过时。他们将分叉现有的以太坊 PoW，并继续挖掘新的分叉版本 $PoW-ETH。
2.当前以太坊生态系统中的关键项目不会支持 PoW 分叉，这个分叉可能会变成另一个 ETC。但这并不意味着分叉链中不存在价值。
3.这些复制的代币中的一些可能具有一定的价值，而另一些则在分叉发生后立即变为零。
解码以太坊工作量证明分叉
Merge 之后，以太坊的共识机制将从 Proof-of-Work 转向 Proof-of-Stake。在 PoS 区块链中，新区块由质押其 $ETH 的验证者创建，不再需要矿工。手头拥有总计价值数十亿美元的以太坊 PoW 挖矿设备（例如 ASIC 以太坊矿机）的矿工很快就会发现他们的巨额投资变得毫无用处。以太坊矿工不仅会让他们昂贵的设备过时，他们还必须找到可以开采的东西。
因此，可以预见的是，矿工将对现有的以太坊 PoW 进行分叉，这样他们就可以继续利用他们的设备，并在新的 PoS $ETH 的同时获得 $ETH-PoW 奖励。
