Stifel Financial Corp.（纽约证券交易所代码：SF）上周公布了其对美国经济状况进行的一项调查结果。这家总部位于圣路易斯的金融服务公司在 7 月 18 日至 8 月 5 日期间对 70 名企业高管、企业主和私募股权投资者进行了调查。据该公司称：
几乎所有受访者都认为美国经济要么已经陷入衰退（18%），要么将在未来 18 个月内面临衰退（79%）。
该公司指出，3% 的人认为美国经济将完全避免衰退，并补充说：“通货膨胀和紧张的美国劳动力市场是当今商业面临的两大威胁。”
此外，“53% 的受访者认为通胀将成为未来两个季度到一年的一个问题，另有 43% 的受访者预计价格上涨将持续更长时间，”这家金融服务公司详细说明。
与此同时，Stifel 强调，半数受访者对通胀“非常担忧”，并详细说明：
绝大多数 (81%) 主要将不断上涨的成本转嫁给消费者，而不是通过利润率、削减管理费用或更换供应商来吸收成本。
